I have created 18 student jobs that I think each student will really enjoy! The students will pick a new job at the beginning of every week and be responsible for completing their job on a daily basis for the entire week. See the job descriptions below and let me know which job is your favorite!
Student of the Week- This student is chosen by Mrs. Lee at the beginning of every week. This student must make excellent choices and set a good example for his/her classmates.
Messenger- This student is responsible for delivering messages to staff members around our school.
Lunch Monitor - This student is responsible for rolling the trash can around to each student at our lunch table. This student is also responsible for checking the floor for trash at the end of lunch.
Computer Technician- This student is responsible for shutting down and plugging in laptops at the end of the day.
Calendar Helper- This student is responsible for moving our calendar cards on a daily basis.
Teacher’s Assistant- This student is responsible for helping the teacher anytime during the day.
Light Switch Operator- This student is responsible for turning the lights off every time we leave the classroom. This student will also turn off the lights when Mrs. Lee is using her projector.
Substitute- This student will take over another student’s job if that student is absent.
Twitter Author- This student is responsible for updating our twitter account on a daily basis.
The Good News Author- This student is responsible for updating our “Today is Wonderful” sign on a daily basis.
Receptionist- This student is responsible for answering Mrs. Lee’s phone and taking a message.
Hand Sanitizer- This student is responsible for sanitizing everyone’s hands before we leave to visit the cafeteria.
Class Secretary- This student is responsible for writing down the titles of the books Mrs. Lee reads to the class on a daily basis.
Nurse Buddy- This student will take a classmate to the nurse if there is a medical emergency. This student will also be responsible for bringing a classmate’s backpack to the nurse’s office if a classmate has to go home from the nurse’s office.
Test Sign Publicist- This student is responsible for hanging our “Do NOT Disturb” sign outside our classroom door when we take a test. This student will also take this sign off the door when we are finished testing.
Peppermint Distributor- This student is responsible for passing out peppermints to their classmates when we take a test.
Brain Breaker- This student is responsible for choosing a Brain Break for his/her classmates on a daily basis.
Book Bag Buddy- This student is responsible for making sure all of our backpacks are neatly placed in our backpack containers.
